I need to be transparent here.
I struggle SO much with friendships. I love to meet new people and hang out with them, but for some reason, true, genuine friendships are EXTREMELY difficult to me.
Here's the thing - I love to be surrounded by people who have the same interests, aspirations, and loves as myself. Don't we all? I have been living for close to 19 years (yeah, I know it's really not that long, but hey it's what I got!), and it took me until this month to learn to hang out with fellow artsy people.
Yeah, it's that simple for me.
Recently, I stopped going to college. Sounds crazy, right?! So now photography is my thing, and I'm rolling with it. (P.S. People are still very confused of how old I am when I say I'm not in college, I own a business, but I look like I'm 13 years old). Since then, it's like friendships have been even more difficult. I'm not surrounded by people everyday!
Anyways, I've learned that you need to have "your tribe". Cliche, right? But it's true! If I've learned anything after being a business owner and not seeing others daily, is I have to have people in my life that continue to support my art!
One of my favorite things to do with like-minded people is to do photo walks. We grab our cameras, and just explore together. These are the things that make me happy in life. Find YOURS!
Thanks Sean and Mackenzie for being in my tribe <3
