Y'all, my mom rocks.
Really though, it takes a lot for someone to live with me 24/7 and hear all my crazy ideas, and not want to tape my mouth shut. But my mom has somehow listened to every single one of them for almost 19 years!
Instead of me just writing about how awesome she is, I wanted to hear her own perspective about raising a creative. So without further ado, here's to my own mother.
1. When was the moment you realized I loved photography?
You spent an afternoon photographing flowers in the gardens. I still have the photo of the red and black tulip saved. You took the time to photograph your siblings, catching their personalities at different angles.
2. What has been a struggle with raising an artist?
Helping you channel your creativity into a paying profession! I think all mothers worry about their children being financially secure. And being able to see your visions and not limit them. Often I would want to give my input especially when it wasn't necessary. I'm learning to close my mouth!
3. How have you seen me grow in the past two years with Eaglet?
You have taken your business to the next level. You have invested time into your business to grow. You look at your ideas with creativity but also a business mind.
4. In what way do you think you are creative?
Umm this is a hard one. Maybe in my cooking or being creative in approaching businesses with ideas on marketing. But, I don't have the natural eye you do to look at a location and see an end result.
5. How much coffee do you think the average photographer drinks per week?
Not half as much as your mom! 8 cups a week.
Told ya, she is fabulous!
As a side note, my whole family is a house full of marketing gurus. When my mom mentions approaching businesses with ideas on marketing, she is talking about the amazing things she helps out with over at http://triadmomsonmain.com/.
